Research & Development

Center for Research and Development (CRD) is established to act as a platform for the faculty and students to pursue their interest in basic and applied research in Engineering and Technology.

The CRD will be the hub to carry out research and development activities. The CRD will provide centralized computational and other common research facilities, access to information sources, conduct training, seminars, symposia and lecture series in emerging areas and research initiation.

Aims and Objects

• Coordinate the research activities in various engineering departments.
• Create an atmosphere that encourages research.
• Provide mentoring to researchers in the various Engineering areas.
• Establish academic-industrial interaction and bridge the gap between them to meet the fast growing R & D needs of industry.
• Interact with various national and international research bodies.
• Improve the status of research in engineering departments.
• Undertake research activities and development of projects.
• Provide funds and infrastructural support for research and development activities.
• Identify potential researchers.
• Motivate and support students and faculty in engineering departments to translate their ideas and innovative developments.
• Publish periodical, bulletin, journal, etc. on engineering research.
• Provide expert opinion, consultancy, testing & certification and technical support in all areas of engineering and technology.

Facilities

There are various facilities available at the college campus for Research & Development. These include

• Internet facility
• Journals

Each department is well equipped with sophisticated systems and machinery. Over 10 systems with high end configuration are exclusively available for the research work. Over 4600 volumes of books are available for research in the library. A good number of reference books are also available for research. Over 15 national and international journals are subscribed for the college library covering a wide range of research areas. High speed internet facility with wifi availability is available in the campus.
