B. Tech. - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has started functioning from the year 2014 offering B.Tech degree programme in Mechanical Engineering with the annual intake of 60 students.

Mechanical Engineering is a very broad field that provides opportunities for interesting and challenging work in every phase of modern technology. The curriculum is so designed to give the students a thorough knowledge in the fundamental principles of Engineering and science. Keeping in view of the technological advancement the department is fortified by the most qualified and experienced faculty. The faculties of the Department are highly qualified specified in their areas. The Department takes its pride in having distinguished and dedicated faculty. The faculty of the department closely interacts with the industry in keeping up with the latest trends in research and development as well as the training of the students and development of curriculum in accordance with the global trends. The Department offers its faculty several facilities for initiating and sustaining research activities by providing access to the latest books ,journals, software and equipment required. The curriculum of the Department academic programs is being subjected to continuous assessment by keeping in view the latest trends and developments around the world.

The Department has state-of-the-art labs and infrastructure to facilitate students in acquiring hands on experience in addition to classroom learning .Further students are encouraged to organize/participate in workshops, paper presentations, conferences(National and International) etc to develop communication skills and leadership skills. The central library holds books and materials relevant to class work, research work and also for competitive exams. The healthy environment prevailing over the campus makes the department flourish with name and fame. In addition to academics and research ,the department focuses on guiding the students towards discipline and responsibility, thus aiding in the development of model citizens for the society.

The progress and prosperity of a nation is run on the wheels of machines which are designed and fabricated by well-versed personnel in Mechanical Engineering. This branch of Engineering sustains an ever growing demand because the use of it percolates through all spheres of life.
