Library

The central library of the college is located in the New Building of the college. It is spacious, well-ventilated, and provided with adequate furniture. It is equipped with the specialized collections of books, journals, and non-book materials in Basic Sciences, Engineering & Technology, and Management Studies to cater the needs of the students and the faculty. A good collection of titles is earmarked as reference books and a spacious reading room is attached to it. The central library subscribes many National and International Print Journals, E-Journals and Magazines. It contains the collection of e-books. The Library has an e-learning facility. The Central Library has a modern infrastructure to accommodate high number of users. All the operations of the library are automated.

Highly qualified, efficient librarians ensure the best possible information services. Standard textbooks and books by well-known authors are stocked, and every effort is made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty.

Multiple copies of popular books are bought to make them available to as many students as possible. A photocopier facility is also provided for the benefit of those who access the library.

It is fully automated for day-to-day operations. Multimedia resources on a variety of topics, including engineering, computers and management, are available.

All library facilities, supported by expert assistance, are available for students and staff.

Bar-coding System

All the books are bar-coded in the library & barcode laser scanners are used in the circulation counter for book transaction.

Membership

All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are eligible for the membership of the library.

General Rules

• Members without ID cards will not be allowed in to the library.
• All members shall sign in the register provided at the entrance accepting the rules and regulations of the library.
• Personal books, files and other articles (except a small note book or loose sheets of paper) will not be allowed inside the library.
• Strict silence shall always be maintained in the library.
• Any marking or writing in the book is strictly prohibited.
• Misbehavior in the library will lead to cancellation of membership and also attracts serious disciplinary action.
• Notwithstanding any of these rules, the decision of the authorities of the college shall be final in all matters.
• Before attending the final project viva-voce, the candidate must return all the barrowed books to the library and collect the "No Dues".
