Courses Offered:

B. Tech - Electrical and Electronics Engineering

M. Tech – Electrical Power Systems (EPS)

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a profession that uses science, technology and problem solving skills to design, construct and maintain products. It is a challenging but exciting and rewarding area to study.

The department of EEE was established in 2008 with the aim of importing high quality technical education in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60. The intake was increased to 120 by AICTE from 2010 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, 2 batches of students have been graduated so far. The new PG course is going to be start in the year 2014 with intake of 25 students in the discipline of Electrical Power Systems (EPS).

The department has a strong pool of faculty. It boasts of having highly qualified faculty with an unparalleled level of expertise in their field. The pure expertise and dedication of the faculty members along with infrastructural facilities coupled with perseverance of the students have catapulted the branch to the top league. The department serves the needs of co-departments like ECE, CSE, CIVIL.

Activities :

The department has a student forum ETA (Electrical Technical Association) for conducting career developing interpersonal and intrapersonal skills of students. It organizes Seminars, Quiz Programmes, Industrial Visits, Paper Contests, Group Discussions, Guest Lectures, Career Guidance, and Games etc under its auspices. ETA also organizes Technical Exhibitions for benefit of local public. Students are encouraged to present papers and participate in seminars conducted by other engineering colleges. Industrial tours are arranged for students to understand the practical implementation of theoretical concepts.

Guest lectures, extension lectures and seminars are conducted by eminent personalities from Industry. They provide a practical perspective over the industry dynamics and keep the students informed of the latest trends in the industry.

During the technical meets organized at ALTS and by other Engineering institutions, students with a research bent of mind presented papers. Most of our students gave prize winning competition to others and stood in top positions.

Conducted workshops in our college in preparing the proto-type models of various power plants and expressing their new innovative ideas which gave a huge mileage to our students.

Our department encourages industrial visits and industrial tours to promote practical dimensions of technical and managerial process. This plays a crucial role in the learning process for the prospective engineering professionals.
